Breast cancer in men
Although breast cancer is much less common in men than women, about 370 men are diagnosed with this disease every year in the UK, and we are conducting a national study of the causes of male breast cancer.
Study data used to find factors behind age at puberty
Research using data from the Generations Study has shown a wide range of factors – some beginning before a child is born – affect the age at which a girl starts her periods, an important risk factor for breast cancer.
