Blood samples for the study are processed at the Breast Cancer Now Toby Robins Research Centre at The Institute of Cancer Research in Chelsea.
As they arrive at the laboratory the blood samples must be processed as quickly as possible, so that they can be frozen the same day for long-term storage.
